My name is Cheryl Weigensberg-Wood and I am running to be a Hampstead councillor in seat 1.
Hampstead is an amazing place to live and if I were to become a councillor I promise to put my work ethic, integrity, energy and warmth in helping to support an effective and strong leadership.
I graduated Concordia University with a BA in Russian Studies.
I founded Twiligest Inc., a B2B international service company that I was president of for many years before changing focus to my children and St. George’s School of Montreal. Over the past 16 years I have served on numerous committees including:
I have already contributed to Hampstead on:
“I am very excited to have such an energetic, smart, hard working and dedicated resident running for council. She is Chairman of the Board of St. Georges School and was asked to stay on for an unprecedented fifth year. With her proven experience as a community volunteer and leader (Hampstead Centennial Committee, Night on the Town Committee, Recreation Committee and more), Cheryl will be a huge asset to our Town.”
- Mayor Bill Steinberg
In 1975, I moved to Hampstead with my loving parents and supportive sister. My family has lived here ever since. For over 42 years, I have been in love with Hampstead, which is why I decided to put some of my energy, enthusiasm and dedication into my town.
In 1990, I married Rodney Wood and I am thrilled to say that we are still happily married. We have four beautiful and amazing children who make us proud every day.
I would like to help strengthen Hampstead’s community spirit and continue to make it the most welcoming town on the island. I know that I have the commitment, capability, enthusiasm and drive to effectively represent you as a Hampstead councillor. I hope you will give me the opportunity to give back to the Town I love.
I want to hear from you what you think the town's priorities are. To contact me, or make a donation to my campaign, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
